‘Business Meetings Were Dense’

Stating that they are pleased with visitor profile and reactions they received, Stäubli Marketing/Sales & Services Vice President Fritz Legler, said they reached the fair atmosphere they expected. Expressing that especially the first three days of the fair were busy in terms of new business meetings, Legler explained the visitor population of Asian countries especially from China, Turkey and Iran met their expectations whereas there were a little less visitors from India. Legler attributed this to INDIA ITME fair which will take place in December.

Saying that they look forward to ITMA ASIA 2018 fair, Legler made some evaluations towards Chinese weaving industry. Legler continued as such; “There is a change in Chinese market, especially in weaving fabric manufacturing segment. The production in China is stagnating, so the investment activity too. Some regions are supported by the government however, we see that this isn’t enough. In that sense, automation is the key word.” Revealing that Asian textile producer map is currently slightly changing its appearance, Legler stated; “Business for entry and mid level quality textiles is partially switching from China to countries like Indonesia and Vietnam where the investment capacity is steadily rising in terms of weaving machinery. Other upcoming Asian countries are still completely focused on apparel confection where Stäubli is not involved.”

Expresing that currently the most important criterias in weaving segment are flexibility and quality, Legler said that machinery investors are focused on these elements. Stating that to be able to deliver fabrics with exceptional patterns is also important, Legler continued thusly; “This is one of the reasons why we lately reengineered for example the SX, LX and LXL Jacquard machines. Our devotion to quality is rewarded by weaving sector; that’s why you can see our jacquard solutions in many weaving machines presented at ITMA ASIA.

SAFIR S40 Steps Forward in Growing Denim Market With Productivity

Talking about Stäubli’s solutions in denim, Fritz Legler highlighted the increasing demand for denim weaving. Legler stated that they improved advantageous solutions in their R&D process by taking market and manufacturers’ needs into consideration. Pointing out SAFIR S40 automatic drawing in machine along with cam motions, electronic rotary dobbies and weaving preparation systems, Legler specified the advantages of this machine to the denim manufacturers thusly; “In constantly updated denim sector, weavers come across with a change every second. In this market, it is very important to reduce production cost while increasing fabric quality to stay in the competition. Also a machine down times should be as rarely as possible. Our newly drawn-in weaving harnesses which we recommend after 4-6 warps meets all these requirements. Other than this, SAFIR S40 gives manufacturers the chance to enhance textile portfolios with new weaving options in the market where delivery and adaption to new condition times are reduced while product range increased.

Managing to preserve its strength during fluctuaitons occured in the market, Stäubli  continues the competition in the market with  right market researches and collaborations thanks to its rooted experience and know-how. Stating that in this sense, their biggest advantage is the effective communication of  all the departments in the firm, Fritz Legler added that their strong connection with customers also contributes to this.
