Stäubli met with Turkish textile industry with weaving and preparation solutions at ITM 2016. The company continues to grow in this market as it opened a new modern facility in Tuzla, Istanbul.

Participating in the largest textile machinery fair of Turkey and the region, ITM 2016, Stäubli displayed latest weaving solutions at Hall 2, Booth 217. The company grabbed great attention of visitors from textile players coming from Turkey and nearby markets with its most recent innovations during the event. Head of Marketing, Sales & Customer Support, Fritz Legler gave a special interview for Textilegence, saying that they exhibited solutions for jacquard machines, dobbies and cam motion machines, weaving preparation machines, carpet weaving machines and circular knitting machines.

Stäubli is a strong supplier of technology for Turkish textile industry, Fritz Legler emphasized. He continued, “As you know, Stäubli provides weaving preparation machines, automatic drawing-in and warp tying machines, dobbies and cam motion machines as well as jacquard machines. Plus, we supply carpet weaving systems with Schönherr and knitting solutions under DEIMO for textile industry. It is clear that we are a comprehensive supplier of weaving and knitting solutions.”

Innovations Head for ITM Istanbul after ITMA Milano

Stäubli showcased 30 innovations during last year’s ITMA Milano 2015, most of which were also brought to ITMA 2016 Istanbul.

Legler noted that they closely know Turkish market and offer market-focused solutions, while solutions which match with rising market demand are popular. Turkish denim industry reached a large power now, he said, adding, “Denim industry has some different needs for weaving process. Here, for instance, we have a drawing-in machine that is particularly suitable for denim weaves. We are pleased to show advantages of our jacquard technology for textile manufacturers. We exhibited weaving solutions that match with investment and growth goals for them.”

LX Jacquard machine was successfully launched at last year’s ITMA in Milan before meeting with Turkish market for the first time in ITM. Built with uncompromising high-quality materials and designed to perform with utmost precision at very high speeds, the LX Jacquard machine allows mills to weave sophisticated fabrics for virtually any application – from colorful African damask to automobile airbags. The third generation Stäubli rotary dobbies, the S3060/3260 series reach new heights of performance and reliability. At the ITM, the recently launched SAFIR S60 automatic drawing in machine and TOPMATIC warp-tying machine are key solutions for increased efficiency. “We are offering developed and comprehensive services in weaving preparation technologies,” said Legler, noting that Stäubli technologies are “must” now that weaving quality became even more crucial recently.

Stäubli : Turkey is Always an Important Market

Turkey has always been an important market for Stäubli. Fritz Legler mentioned, “Turkey managed to remain strong between Europe and Asia via its geographical closeness to main markets as well as high quality and flexibility in production. Turkish textile manufacturers who insist on investing in new technologies are able to get many advantages before their competitors. Turkish market has many opportunities for both textile players and us.”

Stäubli has been focusing on weaving since it was founded and can meet every demand from Turkish market via its solutions. The company aims to sustain its growth in Turkey and thereby opened a new facility in Tuzla, Istanbul. Legler stated, “The success story of Stäubli in Turkey started in the 60s with its products. In 1995 it was decided to found Stäubli Turkey as a local company. As a result of good feedbacks from textile, fast connectors and robotics, we opened a new modern facility and office in Tuzla. Our main target is to get closer to Turkey and the regional markets and reply the market demand with fastest and most proper solutions. The new facility is a milestone in Stäubli history in Turkey.”
