Santex Rimar Presents Weaving and Finishing Solutions at ITMA 2019 – Simone Rancan

Santex Rimar weaving and finishing solutions at ITMA 2019. Santex Rimar Group participated in ITMA with two booth totalling 800 m2 in two different halls and exhibited both new and existing solutions of weaving and finishing brands under their roof. The group displayed finishing solutions in Hall 2, booth C106, and shared the weaving technologies with visitors in Hall 4, booth D107. Sustainability in innovations for both finishing and weaving was emphasized as well as customers being supported for an efficient and profitable production in an increasingly competitive environment.

Simone Rancan, CEO of Santex Rimar Group, in his exclusive statement to Textilegence, underlined their participation in ITMA 2019 with innovations. Rancan; “We have innovations in all areas from weaving to finishing. Our weaving machines showed higher speeds with their brand new designs. For example, we exhibited our loom here for denim weaving and proved to visitors that reliable and fast production is possible. The profitability level goes up with the increase in high quality and raw material saving”. Rancan stated that the demand for more hooks and more complex patterns in jacquard weaving increased and that they responded to this demand increase with Smit.

Santex Rimar weaving and finishing solutions at ITMA 2019: solutions for more transparent and controlled finishing

3 new products were prominent at the Santex Rimar booth in the finishing hall; Sperotto Rimar COMPAS compacting machine for woven and knitted fabrics made in natural and blended fibres; Solwa DRYWA for efficient and cost-effective sludge management, Santex Rimar Group ATHENA advanced deep learning technology for Industry 4.0.

In addition to these three innovations in the field of finishing, Santex Rimar Group exhibited their best-selling and well-known solutions in the market. These products can be listed as follows; Cavitec CAVIFLEX hotmelt coating and laminating machine with interchangeable coating modules; Isotex ISOCOAT highly customizable coating and laminating lines for technical textiles; Santex SANTACOMPACT RD felt belt compacting for the high-quality finishing of open width knitted fabrics; SperottoRimar DECOFAST 4.0 continuous decatizing process under pressure equipped with a new high-performance steam extraction system and the raising machine SperottoRimar VELURA DD28.

Weaving innovations bring more efficiency

At the weaving booth in Hall 4, Smit brand weaving solutions and sample fabrics attracted the attention of visitors. Among the products to be first exhibited, the Smit 2FAST weaving machine featured flexible advanced shuttleless technology. Free flight allows in uncovering the full potential of weaving. Another innovation is the quality control system Santex Rimar Group GUARD ONE. With this protection, profitability and production consistency are guaranteed. Another product launched at the company booth was the Santex Rimar Group 2SAVE, which contributes to sustainability and cost savings by reducing fabric waste.

ITMA visitors not only saw the new Smit weaving machines, but also saw the best-selling models in the market; Smit GS980 260 F8J for weaving 100% cotton, dyed yarn terry towel, Smit GS980 360 C8 J for weaving 100% cotton bed sheeting, Smit GS980 220 C8 D for fabrics of synthetic sportswear. And the Smit ONE 190 C8 J with a BONAS Jacquard and the Van De Wiele “Smart Creel” at Van De Wiele booth at Hall 4.

The recession will sooner or later be exceeded in the Turkish market

Explaining his views about the Turkish market, Simone Rancan said that it is an important market and continued saying; “That’s why we continue to invest, and we continue our negotiations to understand the needs of our Turkish customers. In order to be closer to the customers we opened our direct office in Istanbul (PJ Teks Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ). Sustainability has become a very sensitive issue for Turkish customers. Especially denim manufacturers want to provide more savings in resource utilization”. Saying they hoped that the Turkish market will succeed in 2020; Rancan noted that the interest they see in the ITMA confirmed their expectations.

Rancan stated that Turkish textile manufacturers also wanted to respond to customer demands much faster; “Using Turkey’s special position logistically, they need machines that can rapidly adapt to new market requirements. When compared to Bangladesh and China, Turkey; which is closer to Europe have more advantages over the competition in the context of procurement processes. The flexibility and speed provided by our weaving and finishing machines fully respond to the needs of Turkish textile manufacturers”.

Disclosing that Industry 4.0 and digitization constitute an important topic in their agendas; Rancan reminded that the intelligent Athena system they developed can be used for both weaving and finishing. Rancan added that they have a system where the fabric weaving quality is monitored; as well as the Athena system which collects data.
